I love Fogo. I have been using it for years. I usually buy the great big pieces but this time I got the black bag and it was pretty crushed. I’m still using it. What can I say? I love it.
I have used Fogel lump call for a few years now and absolutely loved it so when I’ve seen that they had the charcoal for cats I thought I’d give it a try well in my honest opinion and experience. The briquettes are too strong too smoky and they overpower what the real flavor of the meats should be Therefore I’m sorry, but I will not buy these again. I will go back to the lump hole. they are a softer gentler smoke. These briquettes are too concentrated and they’re not real lump wood so the reason for my one star not a fan.
No I can’t bbq without them

My all time favorite charcoal. Nothing better for fast cooking or slow cooks.
Whenever i re up on charcoal i grab some of these. Great for lighting my Kamado.
I do long smokes with the yellow bag and quick searing and short grilling with the black bag. I alternate ordering between the yellow and black bags. Lately if I only order the the yellow bag I have to split the chunks to use for a quick burn. Either one is great charcoal depending on your grilling need. Don't hesitate to order any of the FOGO charcoals.
Fogo sent me a replacement bag of their medium lump and this bag was great and the customer service was great.

We think Fogo charcoal is the best. We used to use Big Green Egg charcoal but changed to Fogo. Now we would not go back. It is the best.

I was introduced a Fogo about four years ago and have used nothing but the lump hole in my little smoky Joe but now I see that they had introduced the briquettes and that’s what I ordered this time.
